Finding cards

Views

Every board header starts with a View — a named perspective on the same cards:

  • Team work — every card in the project (on the master board, every card across every project).
  • My work — cards assigned to you.
  • Unassigned — cards with no assignee.
  • Awaiting review — cards in a Review column.

Your choice sticks per board, so coming back to a project shows it the way you left it.

Filters

Beside the view sit the filter dropdowns. On a project board:

  • Types — tick any of task, ticket, event, announcement.
  • Assignees — tick people, or Unassigned.
  • Search board — matches as you type.

The master board adds Labels and Attendees, and its search box reads Search all projects.

Active filters summarise under the board and a Clear filters button appears next to them. Filters live in the page’s address, so a filtered board is a link you can send to a teammate.

Searching for a card code

Type a card code into a board’s search box and, if that card is not on this board, 3mote looks across your other projects and offers a banner: Found in the project name, with the code and title. Click it to jump straight to that card.

⌘K (Ctrl+K) opens the command palette for jumping between projects, with a Wiki tab for finding documents.

List view

The List toggle swaps the columns for a table of the same work — the better surface when you know what you are after. Columns are Work item, Project (master only), Assignee, Reporter, Priority, Points, Status, Due, Created, Updated, and Resolved. Click a header to sort by it, again to reverse. The table scrolls sideways rather than hiding columns, and the footer pages through the results.

The list has its own filter bar: Kind, Status, Assignee, Project on the master surface, and a search box that matches a title or a card code. Changing a row’s Status from the table moves the card. Clicking a row opens the same detail view the board opens.

Notifications in the bell drawer are clickable: one about a card opens that card, one about a comment scrolls the thread to it, and the link works even for cards no longer showing on the board. See Notifications.

Why finished cards disappear from Done

Cards that have sat in a Done column longer than a set window stop rendering on the board surfaces, so Done does not grow without limit.

This is a visibility rule and nothing more. Hidden cards aren’t deleted — they keep every field, comment, attachment, and time entry, and they still turn up in list view, in search, through a notification link, and through a direct link to the card. Widen the window and they reappear on the board exactly where they were.

The window is set in two places. An Account Owner or Administrator sets the workspace default under Settings → My Organization, in the Done cards card: Hide Done cards from the board after takes Never or a number of days. A project can override it under Project settings → General, where the extra choice is Use organization default. Picking Never hides nothing at all.

The board itself says nothing about what aged out — a hidden card is simply absent. If you are looking for finished work, list view is the place to go.
