Teams, clients and guests
Three Settings tabs describe the people and companies around the work.
Teams
Settings → Teams groups users so you can mention or assign work in bulk. Click Add new team, give it a Name (unique on your workspace) and an optional Description, then Create team.
Each row shows the team name and a member count. Click it to expand. Inside, + Add member lists everyone not already on the team — choose a person and click Add; Remove takes someone off. Edit renames the team, Delete removes it and all its member associations.
The payoff is on a board. In a project’s settings, Members → Invite → Team adds every member of a team to the project at one role; anyone already there is skipped, and the confirmation says how many were added. Adding a team copies its roster in rather than linking to it, so later team changes don’t flow through. See Projects.
Clients
Settings → Clients tracks who you’re doing the work for. Every project is billed against a client, so this list is what the project picker draws from.
The table lists Display Name, Email, Phone, Country and Created, with a search box above it. Click Add new client or Edit on a row; the dialog has two tabs.
Client Details holds the company and contact record: Company Name, Email (required), First Name, Last Name, Client Display name (picked from the company name or the first and last name you entered), Phone Number, Mobile Number, Street Address 1 and 2, City, State/Province, Country and Zip Code.
Notes & Attachments holds free-form Notes — click to edit, with the usual rich-text editor — and a file area. Drop a file or use Choose File: PDF, JPEG, JPG and PNG, up to 100 MB each, with Download and Remove on each one.
Delete permanently removes a client, after a confirmation.
Your internal client
Your workspace has one client representing itself. It never appears in this table, but it’s always the first option in a project’s client picker, shown as Internal with your company name — use it for your own work. It can’t be deleted, and its name comes from My Organization.
Guests
Settings → Guests covers external accounts that can comment on work you share with them. Guests don’t use a paid seat.
Guest chat channel picks the one channel every guest can read and post in — the rest of Chat stays hidden from them. Only public, unarchived channels are offered, and the setting saves as soon as you change it. Changing it moves every current guest to the new channel. Choose No channel — guests have no chat to switch guest chat off entirely; with no channel set, guests can’t send direct messages either, because a guest may only message people who are in that channel.
Guest seats shows how much of your plan’s guest allowance is in use. Active guests and pending invites count; deactivated guests don’t, so deactivating one frees a seat. On Starter the card reads “Guests aren’t included in your plan”. See Plans and storage.
Current guests lists each guest’s name, email, status and the date they were added. Inviting, role changes and deactivation all happen on the Users tab — the Manage in Users link takes you there.
A guest sees only the people they share a project or the guest channel with, can be given view access only on wiki pages, and can’t be a project owner or admin.
